What happens next?
1. First let’s chat, so I can find out more about your baby and the photos you’d love to have of them, and I’ll answer any questions you have.
2. It is a complimentary portrait session, unfortunately in the past, I’ve had people not show, so I have had to introduce a policy of asking for a small £45 refundable reservation fee to secure your appointment. This is fully refunded at your viewing appointment or you can use it towards any purchases.
3. Before your portrait experience I’ll send you all the essential info you need including a prep guide.
4. On the day, I will guide you so all you need to do is enjoy the experience.
5. A week later you’ll come back to view what we’ve created and decide if you want to purchase any of them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the portrait session take place?
At my studio in Parndon Mill, Harlow, Essex, CM20 2HP. Parking is plentiful, and full directions are sent with your booking confirmation.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR/BRING?
When you are booked in – we will send you more information on clothing, however, if you look through our website and our socials you will get a good idea of what styles work best in our studio.
Generally, we recommend that families wear similar colour tones – for example – everyone in neutral colours or everyone in lighter colours or everyone in darker colours.
Bring a simple body suit or dungarees for baby.
Please try to avoid clashing colours, stark contrasts and bold patterns to achieve the best look.
How much does it cost to purchase photos?

Yes – you will absolutely love a lot more on the day and most families struggle to choose less than 10 as they love them so much!
Prices range from £1,695 to £125 and we have something for everyone – custom wall art, prints or digital files
You will have £125 toward anything you love on the day, and we highly recommend that both parents (if applicable) attend this session to decide together.
You can settle the balance in full with cash or card at the viewing appointment, or spread the cost with interest-free payments over 3 months.
WHEN CAN WE BOOK IN FOR?
Our booking calendar will show you all the available sessions – mostly these are on weekdays (though we do offer 1-2 Saturday’s a month currently) and families simply coordinate their calendars to ensure they have the time off to come in.
Having a portrait session is something that most families do once in their lives – so making time to spend a day together as a family that you wouldn’t normally get to do is something quite special.
What better reason to take a morning or a day off than to be with the people you love most and have a meaningful portrait session!
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN COME ALONG?
As our studio is quite small, we recommend that 4 or 5 people is the most we photograph at once.
Can we just get the digital files?
Yes, I offer two options, with printed products and without.
1. Matching digital files are automatically included with all wall art and portrait box collections at no additional charge. Most people opt to have a finished print product so they have something to enjoy in their home that is ready to hang or display.
2. Digital file collections range from £1,695 to £575 for 5 files and are edited to the same high standard and supplied via a private download link.
WHat if someone is ill?
Please let me know so that I can offer a suitable alternative appointment. I understand how easily little ones pick up bugs.
As much notice as possible is appreciated, but I know this isn’t always how it plays out.

BABY PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE:
1. Your portrait experience will take place at the Sue Kennedy Photography Studio (Parndon Mill, Parndon Mill Lane, Harlow, Essex, CM20 2HP).
2. Includes a Portrait Credit £125 to use towards the purchase of finished artwork
3. A £45 reservation fee is payable on booking, refundable against your order, or if you decide not to purchase anything this will be refunded at your viewing appointment.
